These colour coated glass insulated units (blue, green, silver, gold, etc.) make it challenging for a glass service supplier to provide the correct colour glass match, especially, if the original insulated glass unit specification is not indicated on original building drawings. We can all appreciate the view or a plethora of natural light that a skylight can provide, however, given the harsh climate conditions in the GTA, regular maintenance will be required. In order to avoid mass sealed unit failure (“foggy glass units”), Master Glass and Doors will prepare and schedule yearly replacement. Leak investigation and repair is required on a regular basis when seasonal conditions wear seams and gaskets or where water (rain) has been trapped and cannot weep out of a structure, as designed. Investigation, experience and common sense are typically the best solution to resolving leak issues. Master Glass and Doors will provide digital photos and service reports of the work completed and forward this information so that the details of the leaks can be tracked. The sealants provided through Master Glass and Doors cannot be purchased through regular hardware stores.
